Hellion Turbo has never waited for the performance market to catch up. When the 2018 Mustang GT was still brand-new, Hellion was already out front developing twin-turbo power for Ford’s updated Gen 3 Coyote platform.
FordMuscle highlighted that innovation in its feature on the world’s first twin-turbo 2018 Mustang GT, a Tucci Hot Rods-built project developed in partnership with Hellion Power Systems and HP Tuners. Built for display in the Ford Motor Company booth at SEMA, the car gave enthusiasts an early look at what Hellion had planned for the newly refreshed Mustang platform.
The 2018 Mustang GT introduced important changes, including Ford’s Gen 3 Coyote engine and dual-fuel system. Rather than simply carrying over an older setup, Hellion combined proven components from its 2015–2017 Mustang GT systems with experience gained from the GT350 platform to create a new twin-turbo package for the 2018 Mustang.
As FordMuscle reported, tuning support from HP Tuners played a major role in making the package possible. With access to the factory fuel-system calibration, tuners could properly manage the blend between direct injection and port injection under boost, helping unlock the potential of the new Coyote engine.
The result was more than just a SEMA teaser. It was an early statement that the 2018 Mustang GT platform was ready for serious turbocharged performance — and Hellion was ready with a bolt-on twin-turbo solution as soon as cars began hitting the streets.

Hellion’s Eliminator twin-turbo system was designed to give Mustang owners the power, adjustability, and efficiency that only a properly engineered twin-turbo setup can provide. With available turbo sizing to support a wide range of horsepower goals, the system gave 2018+ Mustang owners a clear path from street-friendly boost to serious high-horsepower builds.
FordMuscle’s feature captured an important moment in modern Mustang performance: the beginning of Hellion’s twin-turbo development for the Gen 3 Coyote era. Years later, that same commitment to innovation, fitment, and horsepower continues to define Hellion’s Mustang turbo systems.
